– Online poker middleman pleads guilty in NYC-WSJ Just make it legal and tax it.  Online gambling is not hurting anyone and is obviously something that people want to do.  The fact that a 37 year old is going to go to jail because he helped people process payments for thhis is shameful.

5 Reasons to Keep the Accredited Investor Laws
Last night I re-blogged a post about the accredited investor laws.  Not surprisingly  a few people felt that I was wrong in wanting to keep the current law in place. Here are 5 things that quickly come to mind as to why they should not be changed: 1.  Poor Returns- Overall the “startup” asset class sucks.  Repealing accredited law is not about allowing the “working man”...

Interesting read on the Tesla.  I wonder why they can not put in a kill switch to just stop the draw the car is taking off the battery, especially when the consequences of draining the thing all the way is so severe. Anyway interesting read and I am sure they will solve it in time. understatementblog: Tesla Motors’ lineup of all-electric vehicles — its existing Roadster, almost certainly its...

– Brian Chesky, CEO of AirBNB in Fast Companies 50 Most Innovative Companies I picked up a copy of Fast Company and read this quote on one of my flights last week.  The sad reality is that a lot of businesses that you start this way do not end up scaling.  However I do like the approach and it is the...

Too Good for your Customers?
I usually do not rant but this is one of those things that kills me.  I bought a product for a few thousand dollars from a small company that is delayed in being delivered.  So yesterday I got a email from the CEO saying he was sorry it was delayed and that they are going slow to make sure the product is perfect.  Which by itself is great. However if you hit reply to the CEO’s email it goes to...

How to Build a Pirate
Yesterday I watched the below video of Fred Wilson speaking on a panel about the PIPA/SOPA issues.  Like Fred I think that content holders rights are important but the problem is that they are fixing their problem ass backwards.  Instead of first focussing on giving consumers legal abilities to get content, they want to make tougher laws to prevent them from stealing.  Except the problem is...
