Simulscribe + iPhone

From a SimulScribe side it is just awesome to see posts like this, thanks Bijan.

As someone watching the mobile markets it makes me think a lot about how other phones such as Blackberry will be affected by iPhone’s push email services.  We are seeing a lot of customers carry 2 devices, iPhone and Blackberry, which means that as soon as the email is working to people’s liking on the iPhone I see a lot of Blackberries on eBay.

bijan:

I’ve already blogged (endlessly) about how much I rely on Simulscribe.

I’ve got Rob and Santo addicted as well at Spark.

It’s super easy to use and works great. I’ve got my Blackberry set up so after 4 rings if I dont’ pick up the call goes to my Simulscribe number which then takes the voicemail, converts it to text and sends me an email. This is the equivalent to crack.

But I couldn’t figure out how to do the same for my iPhone. Apple’s Visual Voicemail is cool but doesn’t hold a candle to getting my voicemails as text.

Jamie sent me an email last night and here’s how you can set up your iPhone to work with Simulscribe:

From the phone screen on the iPhone dial the following

**004*1xxxxxxxxxx*11#

(replace the “x” above with your 10 digit simulscribe number).

Then press “dial”.

Presto.

Now you don’t have to listen to each and every voicemail like a savage :)
