I feel like I was blasted out of a cannon this morning. I have not left my computer since 7am, my fingers a literally raw from typing so much.
We sent out the rest of the notices to our customers about the name change today. I send all of them from my email address with all of my contact details.
It is so powerful to interact with your customers directly as a founder or CEO. So few companies do it and I think that it is definitely worth the top executives time to do this. People are not out to bug you, they are too busy, so the responses that you do get usually have some suggestions that are very much worth listening to.
I do not care the size of a company I would continue to do this. Maybe at some point you have to hire a team but when that happens I would have that team in my office with me and I would be looking over the responses and the emails with them.
You can never separate yourself (as the company leader) too far away from the customer. SimulScribe now PhoneTag will have a higher viral spread and better product then any of the other ones out there because our customers know that it is not just a company it is a community.
Now back to the 30 emails that have come in since writing this post, I never said it would be easy.
