They had the CEO of Michelin tires on CNBC about an hour ago.  He was talking about their tire that goes on trucks and converts the dual tires on the back of a truck to a single tire.  Overall it saves a truck approximately 10% in fuel efficiency.
They have had the tire out for 5 years with very little penetration until now.  So far sales on that tire are up 50% over last year. 
High energy prices are not all bad they will continue to force innovation and adoption of technologies that low energy prices do not foster.  Even though it hurts I am still enjoying the high energy prices and hope that they do not drop down to soon (before real energy innovation takes hold)
