Another Example of why Social E-Commerce is Awesome

I was on some random blog and I saw a picture of the “fish’n’flush”.  I googled around a bit on it, called the company and bought one.  Installed it this weekend in Oliver’s bathroom.

What I really thought was so cool about this, besides having a real aquarium on the back of my toilet, was how the internet is enabling a product like this to exist.  In fact the company told me that they are selling a ton of these things and I believe it.

The fish’n’flush is one of those products that would have trouble making it in a world without blogs/social networks.  The cost of marketing something like this would just be too high. 

And here is what it will look like when I finish up the aquarium part.
