One of the “New Years” posts I liked
via CrunchBase
I have always been against new years resolutions and all of the ideas that surround them. I believe that you should do what you do when you think it is right to do, setting “New Years” resolutions in my opinion is just a waste of time. Goals are important but starting them on a specific date in the future does not make any sense to me.
So with that I read Tim Ferriss’ post “Things I have learned and loved in 2008”. It is by far the best post I have seen to summarize the closing of 08’ and going into 09’.
There are some things in Tim’s post that I have to work on. The most important one for me personally he describes as “You don’t have to recoup losses the same way you lose them.” This year I got hit financially by something totally outside of my control (it was in a business venture, not the markets). The truth is that the way for me to recoup that loss has nothing to do with the way I lost it. Money is money, and putting my energy 100% into looking forward and not back is how you make more of it.
Thanks for the great post Tim.
