MyWare

As the cost of creating code and hosting continues to drop it has opened up a new market which I recently heard someone call MyWare.  MyWare is basically software made for the user with little to no commercial intent.  I love the name and even more I love the concept of it.  It is basically like the software version of a custom suit.

One of the first examples that I saw of this was when Josh Kopelman used rentacoder.com to build Funding Sleuth for $400.

In the past few months I have run into a number of people that have done the same thing.  I think that this is a trend which is only going to gain traction and go more mainstream as the complexity of development continues to decrease.
