Walked by the Apple store yesterday in Santa Monica. I figured there would be a line for the iPhone but what shocked me is that the line for people with reservations was longer then the line for people without. Based on how fast things were going a person with a reservation would probably be waiting for 5 hours to get the phone. Crazy that someone would buy something online for $200-$500 and then wait in line for 5 hours for it… And it was not just kids in the line, guys in suits, etc.
iPhone really is a phenomenon and while I like the phone and might get the new one it is definitely not worth waiting for 5 hours for it vs getting it without a line in the next few days.
