Hulu and Boxee

Image representing Boxee as depicted in CrunchBaseImage via CrunchBase

I just saw a post in TechCrunch about Hulu being taken off of Boxee.  This sucks for so many reasons and in so many ways.  For those who do not know what Boxee is, it is basically software to run media on.  It does a lot of cool things but one of them was to run on Apple TV and enable Hulu.

I really feel bad for the team over at Boxee who are working their asses off but on the flip side the opportunity that comes out of this might be huge.

It is time for someone (I wish I had the knew how to do this) to make a super cheap box that only runs Hulu from the web and has outputs to your TV.  There is nothing that Hulu could do about this and I think it would sell like crazy.  I bet you could make a device like that for less then $100.

If someone has something like that already please tell me, if not anyone know how to make one?
