I am so happy that Obama upheld to his promise when he was campaigning of talking to everyone around the world.Whether you think Hugo Chavez is a good guy or not (I personally think he is awful) the policy of not talking to leaders and officials from countries that we do not like has been a total failure. Not talking has definitely not stopped the Chavez’s of the world from coming into power, it will be interesting to see what a handshake will do.  One thing I know for sure it will not make things any worse.
